Whitby Restaurant Week 2025

27th February 2025

From Monday the 3rd until Sunday the 9th of March 2025 the picturesque coastal town of Whitby invites you to take advantage of the exclusive deals and discounts on offer throughout Whitby Restaurant Week. This incentive has been introduced by Visit North Yorkshire to encourage locals and visitors alike to sample some of Whitby’s finest offerings for the first time or savour the tried-and-tested dishes you love for less. There will be sixteen local businesses taking part this year – a tempting range of restaurants, cafés and pubs offering set-price dining between £10 and £30 as well as additional deals. You will be able to redeem these discounted prices by directly contacting the participating establishments which include some of the town’s most well-known and well-loved eateries.

This week truly has something for everyone with deals featuring vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free options; hearty meals to start your day and drinks to end the night. There’s a mixture of casual and classy establishments to welcome you and your nearest and dearest. Whitby Restaurant Week is chock-full of discounts on some of the town’s most iconic seafood dishes like the classic pub fish and chips; sweet treats and sandwiches from sophisticated afternoon teas; and delightful cuisine with cocktail and prosecco pairings. With offers ranging from an indulgent Cream Tea for Two for only £10 at Botham’s of Whitby to Buy One Get One Free on Main Courses at Tide by Trenchers, you won’t want to miss out. Why not spread the joy with the ones you love courtesy of the romantic Couples Steak Night for £30pp at Bagdale Hall or treat the whole family to a two- or three-course set menu at Macy Browns for only £15-20. The list goes on but be sure to make the most of top-notch food and drink without breaking the bank. No matter what you’re looking for, Whitby is the place to be and since these deals are available for a limited time on a first-come, first served basis, there really is no time to waste.

Whitby itself is home to unspoiled landscapes and beaches and is full of quaint, cobbled streets, it’s not difficult to see why tourists from all over the world are drawn to its charm. The town is located along the idyllic North Yorkshire coast and is bursting with character and full of history – the seaside settlement is celebrated for having provided the inspiration for Bram Stoker’s ‘Dracula’ and is known for being the site where Captain James Cook learned his trade as a seaman. It is no secret that there is no shortage of things to do and see in the area, with unique landscapes asking to be explored and plenty of tranquil spots to relax and connect with nature. There are cliffs, beaches and trails waiting to be walked, hiked and cycled on.

Whitby is not just surrounded by the rolling landscapes of the North York Moors National Park and the North Sea, there is an array of unmissable, nearby towns and villages for you to see. The gorgeous old fishing village of Robin Hood’s Bay is also rich in maritime heritage and looks along the picture-perfect Heritage Coast. Visitors can expect to find a rocky shoreline and winding streets, all while enjoying a warm welcome from the friendly locals. Goathland, on the other hand, is a moorland village but is also well-known for its untouched landscapes. The village’s old railway line leads hikers and lovers of the Great Outdoors along the glorious Rail Trail where you can opt for the more relaxing options of a ride on a steam railway. Situated a short drive from Whitby, you’ll find the beautiful sandy beach of Sandsend with its unparalleled natural beauty, serene atmosphere and charming cottages. Where better to look out over the waves, with a backdrop of verdant countryside than this tranquil escape from reality.

Whether you choose to stay in Whitby, discover the surrounding towns and villages or a combination, Beautiful Escapes offers luxurious accommodation for both options. Stay in the town itself where you can browse the independent shops, sample the local cuisine and wander through the charming streets. Whilst the surrounding countryside of the North York Moors is home to darling cottages and lodges with unique features and backstories, ready to transport you into a world of bliss.
