Bullghyll Hut offers an off-grid escape for two. This stylish shepherd’s hut has been tastefully designed by Georgina Rose (former Soho House interiors architect), it has everything you need for escaping the everyday without giving up on luxuries like a king size bed, wood-burning stove and walk in shower.

It is located in its own private field in the hamlet of Wharton and enjoys stunning views of the Yorkshire Dales. This wonderfully rural location, is away from the crowds but still well-placed for days out in the Lakes or the Dales.  Head out of the front door for a hike up Wild Boar Fell taking in the spectacular views, explore sleepy country lanes by bicycle,  enjoy a bracing plunge in one of the many local wild swimming spots or hop onto the wonderfully scenic Carlisle to Settle railway and steam away through spectacular countryside.

Brownber House and Brownber Hall are a 10-minute drive away.

Living Space

Open living and bedroom space, kitchenette with breakfast bar, kitchen sink, fridge, toaster and kettle plus a wood burning stove to keep you toasty on chilly evenings.

You’ll find a welcome hamper of freshly-baked sourdough, a jar of award-winning marmalade plus a homemade cake and biscuits waiting for you on arrival. Fridges can also be pre-stocked with local produce, beers and wine. If you’re feeling lazy after a long drive, home-cooked supper can be ready waiting for you on arrival, or freshly baked sourdough pizzas can be delivered to the door.

No WiFi or TV for a full off-grid experience, there is phone reception and DAB radio if you want to stay a little bit connected!

 

Outside Space

The Hut is set in the corner of its very own field with spectacular views. You can enjoy the outside space with seating and a fire pit, there’s a cooking grill too, perfect for cooking under the stars or toasting marshmallows, what could be better! The perfect setting for kicking back with a sundowner or for simply enjoying lazy days with good book and birdsong.
