REVIEWS

We love to hear back from our guests to find out their experience with Beautiful Escapes.

October 2024
Seaves Mill is one of the best luxury properties I have stayed in, a true gem and a reflection of the owners hard work and love of interiors.
From the welcome hamper to the lovely flowers (even in bathrooms) I felt that the owners really cared about our stay!
Beautiful inside, everything you need for a stay, will definitely aim to come back again.
The area is beautiful around Brandsby, stunning scenery and plenty of places to visit, great walks also on your doorstep.
Easy to book via the Beautiful Escapes website, helpful emails sent before your stay, would recommend using the website to others, and a message from the host before my stay was a lovely touch.
Thank you,
Anne

Without doubt the most stylish, peaceful and luxurious retreat we have had the pleasure to stay in, the care, thought, pleasure and delight the owners Jo & Phil show in making guests feel at home (but better!) is evident throughout. We came to unwind and we are leaving feeling blissfully relaxed and at one with the peace and tranquility.

We highly recommend a visit to The Byland Inn at Byland and the cafe atHelmesley walled garden.

Thank you Kate & Ramesh

The cottage and surroundings are delightful and we felt like we were living in a picture postcard for these last 5 days. The lovely stream, the climbing roses, the birdsong all contributed to help make our holiday feel like the escape we needed. The hard work of the owners, Jo & Phil in creating Seaves Mill is evident and much appreciated – thank you for sharing it with us.

The property was very comfortable and beautifully decorated and designed, and in such a lovely setting by the water too.

The welcome pack of produce was gorgeous too!

We liked the area, very pretty villages and access to amenities in line with our expectations of the area.

Booking with Beautiful Escapes was easy, with no issues and we would definitely re-book.

We had a lovely time in Seaves Mill, everything was considered, every detail covered, every need met. The homemade cake was delicious and the kitchen supplies and provisions came in very handy. The fresh flowers and chocolates in the rooms were a lovely touch too.

Even though we were unlucky with the weather we went out exploring the area, there is so much to see and do, and it was nice to look forward to come back to somwhere warm, cosy and inviting with the lovely wood burning stove.

The cottage surroundings are delightful and we felt like we were living in a picture postcard, the lovely stream, the climbing roses, the birdsong, all contributed to help make out holiday feel like the escape we all needed.

Phil and Jo’s hard work in creating Seaves Mill is evident and much appreciated – thanks for sharing it with us!

June 2024

The property was perfect and Jo and Phil were the perfect hosts. The cottage is very tastefully decorated and everything you need to make for a comfortable holiday. We loved the garden, sitting out in the early evening sun was very relaxing.

Although a quiet country retreat the cottage was perfectly placed to visit the wonderful places North Yorkshire has to offer, York is a short dirve, an hour to the coast with lovely villages and scenery on the way. Nearby spectacular Castle Howard is not to be missed, and Helmsley Castle, The Walled Garden, Rievaulx Abbey and lots of National Tust properties to explore too.

Booking with Beautiful Escapes was very simple, we will certainly book with you again.

Thank you for everything,

Andrea & Chris

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. This is an idyllic property, possibly the best we have ever stayed in.
The surroundings and gardens are beautiful and internally it is furnished to an exceptionally high standard without losing the comfort factor.
We were warmly greeted by the owner who explained everything we could possibly need to know for our stay. The welcome basket was excellent.
It is ideally placed for touring this area of Yorkshire.
We have already booked to return next year.
Booking with Beautiful Escapes was an easy experience and communication with them and the owner was helpful but not intrusive.

It’s impossible to describe our pleasure at staying in this fabulous place without repeating what other guests have said. From the moment we arrived we knew our stay would exceed our expectations. The interior could easily grace the pages of ‘English Home’, the quality of the decor and the immacualte presentation of the furnishings is beautiful. The wonderful welcome gift of local produce was the icing on the cake.
