The open plan kitchen and dining space is perfect so the cook for the day can join in the chit chat while preparing supper in this well thought out space, including everything you would expect in an exceptional holiday home, fridge freezer, oven, hob, dishwasher and a wide range of crockery and kitchen equipment to satisfy the most discerning of cooks.

The bespoke dining table seats 8 in comfort, making it the perfect place to share stories, plan adventures, play games, enjoy tasty suppers and hearty breakfasts, there is plenty of space for laid back gatherings.

Located on the ground floor with a super king bed which can also be set a twins, this room has a lovely, earthy colour palette and an exposed stone wall which creates a feeling of clam and quietness. Throw open the doors to the terraced area and let the country air flow in, what a wonderful way to start your day.

There is an en-suite with a whirlpool bath for soothing any aching muscles after a day walking the fells, there is a shower too for when you want to have a quick start to the day and of course, a loo and basin.

This tranquil room is set as two twin beds, it can also be set as one super king bed, located on the ground floor it has a rich, earthy colour scheme which marries beautifully with the countryside all around the barn. The handy en-suite features a whirlpool bath just the tonic for a relaxing bedtime routine and a restful night’s sleep, there’s a loo and basin too.

From the first floor living space French doors open onto to a pretty raised terrace with garden furniture and beautiful far reaching views, this is a lovely spot for al fresco dining or simply to sit and enjoy nature.

Richard, the owner, is a qualified mountain leader. He has a huge passion for walking in the hills and mountains of Britain and has walked several thousand miles on foot in every UK National Park. He knows the upland areas of Northern England like the back of his hand and enjoys nothing more than taking guests out on guided hillwalking days and teaching them new outdoor skills, equipment including waterproof clothing and maps can be provided.
