There are countless mountain biking routes through nearby forests as well as jaw dropping views if you prefer road cycling. It’s also a great area to explore on foot with a fantastic network of routes around the area directly from your front door. It’s also only 15 minutes by car to the City of York.

If a more sedate pace is your preferred kind of holiday, take in the balmy summer days by the mill race running behind the property. With lots of space to relax in, there is a choice of picture perfect spots for you to read a book with your morning coffee, put your feet up with your afternoon tea or unwind with a glass of wine before dinner.

There is a beautiful, open plan living space with plenty of room for the family to spread out and relax. As well as two en suite bedrooms, one with a king bed and one with two single beds.

For a secluded retreat in the rolling moorland of the North York Moors Chequers is the perfect choice. It has stunning views from every angle and plenty of walks and rambles for all levels of experience straight from the cottage. Situated just two miles from the picturesque village of Osmotherley where you will find the Golden Lion pub; a cosy spot for a great meal after a day exploring the moors. It’s also a short drive to the North York Coast where you can enjoy a picnic on the beach before investigating the rock pools or even take part in a sailing lesson!

Chequers is a very spacious cottage with lots of room for a family of four to relax. Two en suite bedrooms, large sofas, two dining tables and several chairs that are perfect for cosying up with a good book after a day spent exploring outdoors! There is a well equipped kitchen for rustling up treats with local produce and a terrace where you can enjoy your supper with a view. A wonderful, luxury escape!
