Mark your calendars for the first two weekends of June: 1-2 and 8-9 June, 2024, from 10 am to 5 pm, as you embark on an artistic journey like no other.
This eagerly awaited event offers art enthusiasts and curious visitors alike a unique opportunity to explore a diverse range of works from both emerging talents and established artists throughout the region.
Organised by the artist-run collective, North Yorkshire Open Studios (NYOS), this not-for-profit initiative is dedicated to championing the hundreds of painters, sculptors, print-makers, jewellers, ceramicists, photographers, and creatives who call North Yorkshire home.
Now in its 17th year, the event welcomes an impressive 30 new artists making their debut, adding fresh perspectives and creativity to the vibrant tapestry of North Yorkshire’s art scene.
The art studio trail winds through coastal gems like Scarborough, into the majestic expanse of the North York Moors and Yorkshire Dales National Parks, and through picturesque villages and bustling market towns.
Garth Bayley, artist and project manager for NYOS, enthuses, “The open studio event offers a fascinating glimpse ‘through the keyhole’ of an artist’s world, allowing visitors to appreciate the creative process and forge connections with the artists themselves.”
Prepare to be inspired as North Yorkshire’s vibrant art scene comes to life this summer. Join us for an unforgettable journey of creativity, discovery, and cultural immersion.
